His skills and knowledge were immediately recognized by us in Japan and we basically shanghaied him into joining us. His easy going nature coupled with his strict financial discipline and general all round corporate knowledge ensured that we survived the management buyout of the Asian operation from LRG.

After Japan, spells followed as a financial trouble shooter at various Companies in Europe and Asia. Roger eventually returned to England. He has at last married and has a young family.

Allan was the man on the ground at most Juliana's designed Clubs throughout the world. When the containers full of equipment were due to arrive from London, Allan would not be far behind with his bag of tool., His warm personality immediately making friends where ever he went. Language was never a barrier to Allan as few people understood his Glaswegian accent anyway. Hard working, his ability to both work and play hard meant not only that Clubs opened on time but that the installation contractors in every country took him as one of their own.

Now retired from globetrotting, Alan spends his time in Glasgow with his wife Eleanor and his family.

After graduating from the National Defense Academy, he joined major trading firm Nissho Iwai. In 1991, while he was still with the trading firm, he was the producer for Juliana's. But he didn't remain in the world of nightclubs. Using his networks of young people who hung out at discos and were in need of temporary jobs, he then founded the temp agency Goodwill Group.

He also has interests in an AV control company and seems to split his time these days between England and Dubai.

David Spooner

Mechanical installation contractor

David was the other half of our Juliana's A team, Wherever Allan McCabe was, David was not far behind. David would produce most of the mechanical fittings and fixtures for the DJ consoles in flat pack form and then make them fit on site. Between Allan and David there was not much they couldn't make work. Once the Club was open and the party over, his tools were packed back into containers and off he went to build the next one.
